This policy explains the cookies and similar tools this website (TampaTMJ.com) uses, and how you can control them. It works together with our Privacy Policy.
What cookies are
Cookies are small files a website stores in your browser. Similar tools, such as "local storage," do the same job in a slightly different way. In this policy, "cookies" covers both.
Our approach
- We use as few cookies as we can.
- We do not use advertising cookies or advertising pixels.
- Our analytics tool, Vercel Web Analytics, is described by Vercel as working without cookies, and it runs only if you allow Analytics.
- The map on our Contact page stays off until you click "Load map."
Your choices
On your first visit, a banner offers "Accept all" and "Reject all" as equal buttons, and "Customize" to choose each category:
- Accept all: allows every optional category.
- Reject all: allows only strictly necessary cookies.
- Customize: lets you turn each optional category on or off.
You can change your choice at any time with the Cookie preferences link at the bottom of every page. You can also delete cookies in your browser settings; if you do, the banner will ask again on your next visit.

Our hosting provider, Vercel, may at times set a short-lived security cookie if it needs to check that a visitor is not an automated attack. That cookie is strictly necessary and is used only for that check.
The record of your choice
When you make a choice in the banner, we save a small record of it in the practice's website database: a random consent ID, the categories you allowed, the date and time, the version of this policy, which button you used, and whether you were viewing the site in English or Spanish. It does not include your name, your contact details, or your IP address. It lets us show which choice was made and when. Your choice still works in your browser even if the record cannot be saved, for example when the connection drops.
Changes to this policy
We review the cookies on this website from time to time and update this table when they change. If a change adds a new optional cookie, the banner will ask for your choice again.
